After several months of construction at a site in South Africa, the long-awaited move to Lesotho commenced in June 2018. The assembled and semi-furnished light steel modular units were transported by trucks to Afriski Mountain Resort after which the communal area and roof structure were finalized on site.
Alpe d’Huez was transformed into a Boutique Hotel featuring 5 bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms, a large communal area, lounge and fully equipped kitchen. The hotel can accommodate up to 12 people and whether you are opting for a family room with bunk beds or a luxury suite with a full bathroom you are ensured of absolute comfort.
It is the perfect place to unwind after a long day on the slopes or after exploring the mountains. Situated just a few meters from Sky Restaurant and within walking distance to the ski shop, ski rental and ski slope. During winter season an in-house butler is the pinnacle of luxury, preparing morning coffee and serving guests with a home cooked breakfast. A great thank you to Lawrence Chipunza, our very first butler for Alpe d’Huez that served guests during this year’s winter season.
Alpe d’Huez forms part of the resort rental pool and specific weeks will be sold as fractional ownership.
